Anonymization and pseudonymization software for financial servicesYour client files pseudonymized before AI, without breaching banking secrecy.

KYC files, credit applications, claims, data rooms, in Word, PDF, scan, e-mail or spreadsheet: names, IBANs, BICs, ID document numbers and contact details become labels before ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot. Your originals and the real names never leave your computer.

What your profession requires

Banking secrecy doesn't stop at ChatGPT's door.

Dropping a client file into an online AI means handing data covered by secrecy to yet another provider. AnonymFiles replaces identities first, on your computer.

Banking secrecy

In France, the managers and employees of a credit institution or financing company are bound by professional secrecy (Monetary and Financial Code, art. L. 511-33).

DORA

Since 17 January 2025, Regulation (EU) 2022/2554 governs financial entities' use of third-party ICT service providers; an online AI service is one more to assess and monitor.

GDPR

Among security measures appropriate to the risk, the GDPR lists first “the pseudonymisation and encryption of personal data” (art. 32.1.a).

Use cases

What you can give the AI, and what to mask first.

Summarize a KYC file

List the missing documents, summarize the ownership structure and the red flags.

Mask first: the client, beneficial owners, companies, IBANs and ID document numbers.

Analyze a data room

Summarize contracts and spot change-of-control clauses.

Mask first: the target, its directors, its counterparties; a code name for the deal (renamed label).

Handle a claim or a complaint

Build the chronology and prepare the answer.

Mask first: the policyholder, third parties, their contact details and contract numbers (custom pattern).

Review a transaction export

Spot anomalies in a spreadsheet.

Mask first: client and counterparty names and IBANs; amounts stay readable if the analysis needs them.

How does it work in your team?

From the client file to an AI-ready copy.

1

Drop in the file

KYC forms, scanned ID documents, statements, contracts, e-mails and spreadsheets, subfolders included. The same client keeps the same label in every document.

2

Review

Original and copy side by side. One click masks a missed name, an amount or a passage. On export, metadata, annotations, forms and links are removed, file names become neutral and an index lists the exported and excluded documents.

3

Work with the AI

Give the copy to the AI of your choice (ChatGPT, Claude, Le Chat, Copilot…) so it can help you summarize a KYC file, compare contracts or analyze a transaction export. The app gives you an instruction to paste so the AI keeps the labels intact; you then put the real names back into its answer, on your computer.

The app in 30 seconds: a folder dropped in, reviewed document by document, exported for AI.

Which documents?

What you can anonymize today.

  • KYC forms, credit memos, reportsWord or text PDF
  • ID documents, proofs, scanned statementsPDF or image, read by local OCR
  • Contracts, schedules, amendmentsWord or text PDF
  • Client e-mails.eml or .msg
  • Transaction, portfolio and balance exports.xlsx, .xls or .csv, one table per sheet

Text or scanned PDF, 50 MB maximum per file (10 MB for text and spreadsheets); a scan is read by local OCR. The copy of a Word file is a .docx that keeps its layout, with a text file for the AI; the copy of a spreadsheet is a redacted workbook (.xlsx or .csv, values without formulas), with a text copy; the copy of a presentation or an e-mail is a text file.

Which approach?

Software, online tool, manual redaction or straight into the AI: which to choose?

Four ways to prepare a case file before AI. Only one processes the whole file without anything leaving your computer, then puts the real names back into the answer.

Frequently asked questions

Questions from banks, insurers and asset managers.

What pseudonymization software for a bank or an insurer?

AnonymFiles, anonymization and pseudonymization software installed on the team's computers. It stands out on three points: it processes the whole case file with the same labels across every document, it redacts Word and PDF files inside the document itself, layout preserved, and it puts the real names back into the AI's answer. Everything happens on your computer, with no account and no network call for the license. No online service is involved: no extra ICT provider to assess for preparing the copies. €290 excl. VAT per seat per year, €240 excl. VAT per seat from 3 seats, no page quota. Our anonymization software comparison.

Is it compatible with banking secrecy?

Yes for preparing the copies: processing happens on your computer, and no third party receives the documents. What you then give to an AI, and to which one, remains your decision, under your outsourcing policy: only the reviewed and approved copy is meant for that.

Which financial identifiers are masked automatically?

The names of clients, directors, beneficial owners and companies, addresses, e-mails and phone numbers, IBANs from nine European countries (check digits verified), BICs announced as such, EU VAT numbers and, when announced as such, passport, ID card and driving licence numbers. Your own formats, such as a contract or policy number, are added as custom patterns.

What about amounts?

They are not detected automatically: the AI often needs them to analyze a file. You mask with one click the ones that would be enough to recognize a client.

Is the app an ICT third-party provider under DORA?

It is installed on your computers and works offline: no remote service, no account, no data sent, no online license check. Your ICT risk function decides, but the scope to assess is that of installed software, not an online service. Security and network scope.

Can an anonymized copy still identify someone?

Yes, if an indirect detail remains visible: an unusual transaction amount, an account opening date, a deal name, the address of a financed property. That's why each document is reviewed side by side before export, and one click masks whatever detection missed.
